The U12 team captured their second gold medal of the season by dominating once more against teams from Dorchester, hometown Kitchener and Cambridge. Once again, it was an all team effort as every member of the team managed to make it onto the scoresheet during undefeated round robin play. For the second tournament, the team met Cambridge in the final, a team determined to come out on top this time. But, once again, West Ferris powered through, this time to a 9-4 win.

  •  The U14’s began the tournament with 4-3 victory over Dorchester. This was a close game with lots of back and forth action. Unfortunately, the second game was a 5-1 setback to a strong and physical team from‎ Hanover. The players fought hard to the end but Hanover (the eventual tournament champion) outlasted the 63’s for the win. The tournament ended on high note for U14’s, however, as the players played their most complete game of the season and u14defeated the host team (Kitchener) 8-2. After the three qualifying games the U14’s ended up in third place, barely missing the finals by a tie breaking differential of two goals.

  • U16 KitchenerThe U16A completed their fourth tournament with a silver medal. The team was 3-1 during round robin play, losing an extremely close 3-2 game to the top ranked team from Guelph. However, it was the hometown Kitchener team the 63s met in a very exciting final. Both teams came on extremely strong, but a goal in the dying minutes of the game lifted the Kitchener team to a 3-2 win.
